Asian games 2023 updates
In Hangzhou, medals are raining at the Asian Games 2023. India opened its account on Saturday, reaching double digits in the medal tally. However, China leads in the overall count. The host country remains unbeaten. On the other hand, India has fielded over 600 athletes this time, hoping to achieve a century of medals. It’s worth mentioning that the Asian Games officially began on September 23 and will continue until October 8. India secured its first gold in the Asian Games with a world record. Divyansh Singh Panwar, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, and Rudraksha Patil scored 1893.7 points, breaking China’s previous world record of 1893.3 points. The world record now belongs to Indian shooters.

India’s shooting stars
Indian shooting team delivered a spectacular performance at the Asian Games 2023. In the Men’s Trap Shooting competition on Sunday, the team of kynan Chenai ,Zoravar Singh Sandhu and Prithviraj Toindaman secured a gold medal, setting a new Asian Games record with a score of 361. Meanwhile, the Women’s Trap shooting Team, comprising Manisha keer, Preeti Rajak and Rajeshwari Kumari, clinched a silver medal with a combined score of 337. With these medals, India’s total tally in the shooting events of the Asian Games 2023 reached 22, marking the best-ever performance, including 7 gold, 9 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
Women’s hockey
The performance of the women’s hockey team was excellent, and they had a neck-and-neck competition with Korea’s women’s hockey team. Both teams displayed a fantastic game, resulting in a draw with one goal each.
Medal confirm in boxing
India has secured another medal in boxing, with Nikhat Zareen participated in the women’s 50kg category semifinal but had to settle for bronze medal after losing the match. Although everyone was expecting more from Nikhat looking at her previous performances. Additionally boxer Praveen Hooda advancing to the semifinals after winning the quarterfinal. In the quarterfinal, Praveen Hooda defeated Uzbekistan’s boxer Sitora, securing a place in the semifinals. With this achievement, the Indian boxer has assured at least a bronze medal in the Asian Games 2023
Created history in women’s golf
Gold in mixed doubles tennis
Rohan Bopanna and Ritusha Bhosle secured the gold medal for India by winning the mixed doubles tennis final in mixed doubles tennis as well.
Gold in athletics
Avinash Sable made history by winning the gold medal in the men’s 3000m steeplechase at the Asian Games. He became the first Indian man to win a gold medal in this event. Avinash completed the distance in a time of 8:19.50 .
In the 2018 Asian Games, the Indian contingent achieved a record by securing 80 medals from a strong team of 570 members, marking their highest medal count in the Asian Games. Till now India has performed superbly and hope to continue the same on the remaining days of Asian games 2023 and beat previous medal tally.
However china and Japan are leading the medal tally as always and the difference between number of medals in these two countries is evident to make sure that china will finish Asian games 2023 with first spot in the medal tally and second will be Japan.
